Thought of the Hour...hm

One thought popped into my head as I was riding the bus today. Isn't it absolutely amazing that there is some kind of logic and order in the daily operations of the world (aside from the fact that everything seems insane--)? I mean, consider how many billions of people there are. I know I'm playing a kind of devil's advocate here, but think about it...in our part of the world, the bus actually stops at a bus stop for each and every individual that gets on or off. Do we forget sometimes that this kind of civilization and organization is a feat in light of how many random people exist, argue and demand their rights. I'm just wondering what would happen if the so-called system collapses altogether. A lot of anarchists would be extremely pleased, and as you know, I have serious qualms about society as it stands today. But maybe we ought to take a breather and consider what would happen without that bus driver, social worker, etc.. Yes. Society should never have come to this, but it's too late. Some kind of co-operation must be undertaken between all peoples. Ok, so don't throw rotten tomatoes at me, just thinking it could be a lot worse.

So alas, I'll be signing off until September. Vallum's exciting Hidden City issue, however, will be out in stores before then (if all goes well with the printers and summer hours etc..). And July 15th is the deadline for our poetry contest (in case you haven't been reminded enough, ha, ha). I leave you now with a song, and hope you all have a great summer. Talk to you bientôt!            /ez
